Where to begin, our previous hosting company hostgator while ok for a low traffic site had stuck me for the last time shutting down services over and over. I am testing the ability of our new hosting company, however most likely this very site will be moved to its own hosting service. I do not want to let the cat out of the bag as far as who is hosting until I can make a determination of service. On a lighter note the forum is back up, still work ahead of me on other sites. Oh, almost forgot to mention Ultimate Edition 3.3 as well as Ultimate Edition 2.6.6 LTS has been released while we were down. Ultimate Edition 3.4 is uploaded been running it for weeks flawlessly. Ah, distrowatch we are not inactive, the hosting company has stuck a thorn in my side.

Please be patient with me much work to do, not to mention working a 7 day a week job. I have a 9 day shutdown coming for the 4th, I will make mass adjustments then. Please stay tuned.

Wayne (Bnjamin_Breeg) has shared with me what can happen when people come together. Not only here in the United States, but world wide the power that be, want to censor your Internet. On January 18th our brother Blackwolf also blacked out U.E Oz to show his support. This can show what a few people banded together can accomplish. I just want to say Kudos to all of you that have supported these causes in one form or the other.

I am trying to keep you informed of what I am doing / have going on in my life. I have a new job starting tomorrow, not so good for the Ultimate Edition Team. My understanding 12 hrs a day 7 days a week. I will do what I can when I can. I am going to try and punch the following to the web this eve.

I would have rather had KDE the default enviorment, time is not on my side. Ultimate Edition 3.3 has KDE, XFCE, LXDE, E17, & Gnome. No, I have not forgot about the 64 bit users of 3.01. I will come back to address. Time permitting.

I chit chatted with JohnnyG one of my fine Admin on the horn the other day. He made me realise I do not keep people in general in the loop of what I am doing, nor do I educate new users of what Ultimate Edition is. Let’s resolve the second issue first & unbiased, the first issue I will re-address.

You will not be disappointed after what I have seen building it 😉 I could preach all the good it will bring you, this is not my job. You know what I want 0 mention this O/S exists. I see the numbers & it no longer intrigues me, nor does it make me happy. The only happiness I look forward to is the end user.

No, I have not forgot about the 64 bit users of 3.0.1. I have alot and I mean alot of catch up work. I am handling it in the best way I know how, move forward address the past later.

What you are seeing is Ultimate Edition 3.2, no I did not forget about 3.1 see note above 😉 I will tell you this this O/S is a one of a kind. It has 6 environments: Gnome 3, Gnome Classic, Gnome Fallback, Unity, Unity 2D, XBMC all selectable from the login screen. Tons of software and only currently weighs in at 2.7GB. Simply amazing… By request of a few disgruntled users of a "Mint" based system, I turned a new leaf:

Ultimate Edition 3.0.1? Wow, where to begin. I tried to keep this under wraps, this is what Ultimate Edition 3.0 should have been. I have taken the time to rebuild it from the ground up 100% by me, mass changes between what 3.0 and what 3.0.1 is.
