Rocking 4K on Ultimate Edition 5.4

    I have had positive feedback on our Alpha (downloaded 1500 times this week), which shocks me. We have good things on the plate today. I have heard our beta’s are like a final product up in here. I am going to provide you a Beta of Ultimate Edition 5.4. I will re-address issues and we will eventually have a final product. This will be a Long Term Supported (LTS) release based on Zesty rocking. I wrote the release in preparation for a Ryzen CPU, which I can buy. Just not the main board. I am not the only one. Finetuch has a 1700 and no mainboard. 17 Mainboard Manufactures this bothers me. All sold out on the X370 line, minus Biostar. Try and buy a Asus Hero X370 board. I can buy a AMD Ryzen 7 1800X all day, however no main board. AMD did not drop the ball, we will eventually find out what really happened.

   I do want to toss this out there, for the first time in my entire life building operating systems with the newer kernel picked up my wireless printer off the live disk.

    I have tried to install Ubuntu 5.4 on my Vmware 12 Machine
    It works on a trying machine but if you install the 5.4 OS it will not boot. A problem perhaps

    Hi, I hope this is the proper place for bug reports. I tried to register on the forum, but after 45 min still no reg email.

    I installed your UE 5.4 Beta on my netbook, it went very smoothly and I like it a lot! However, there are 4 things that are not working for me so far:

    1) It’s not very easy to resize any window! you can move and adjust the top edge only, or R-click and choose resize. If you try to move any of the other three edges there is no ability to drag.

    2)Firefox has a (incompatable?) font issue in the title at the top of this page where it says “Rocking 4K on Ultimate Edition 5.4” the letters have very little space between them. (I took a screenshot, but don’t have a bucket to post them in yet.)

    3)My webmail server says that I need a current browser to have full functionality, such as ie 11, FireFox 33 or higher, or the current version of Safari/Chrome.

    4) the 2 finger scroll on my touchpad works on vertical, but not horizontal. (Not a big thing, but on a netbook it gets a bit annoying having to go down to the scroll bar to keep reading.)

    Please let me know if there is a “preferred” image host site.

    I’m not super experienced with linux, but I’ve been playing around with it for a few years now.(at least I THINK that I’m not a total noob.)

    Is anyone having a hard time with this ? I have installed 3 times and when I get to the screen where it is loading the OS it sits there for hour’s but I never get to the desktop.
