Description:

Ultimate Edition 2.8 Gamers is unlike any other gamers edition built in the past.  Beyond the updates / upgrades many tools have been ripped out of Ultimate Edition 2.8 (the base of the release), prior to build to maximize room for additional games.  In Ultimate Edition 2.8 Gamers you will not find Openoffice, we are here to play games right? This does not mean you will not have a media player, just the very basics & a vast quantity of high quality games.  Hand picked by bnjamin_breeg & I.  The newest PlayOnLinux (at time of build) is also included to allow installation of ® Windows based games and applications as seen above.  What games have been pre-installed?

Games:

  • Urbanterror
  • Armagetronad
  • Gunroar
  • Hedgewars
  • Kobo deluxe
  • Pingus
  • Bzflag
  • Chromium-bsu
  • Gridwars 2
  • Criticalmass
  • Defendguin
  • Assaultcube
  • Frozen-bubble
  • Kapman
  • Kblocks
  • Fretsonfire
  • Vgacard games (4 card games)
  • Gtkboard games (32 board games)
  • Warzone 2100
  • Glest
  • Barrage
  • Enemy-territory
  • Scorched3d
  • Performous
  • Boswars
  • Orbital-eunuchs-sniper
  • Warsow

You can only fit so much on a DVD and some games are huge, we understand this.  A new repository filled to the hilt with games has also been pre-added to allow the end user to install additional games if so desired.  Many of these games are unavailable in ® Ubuntu’s repository.  Ultamatix, is also available with 48 games at your disposal.

Ultimate Edition 2.9 – Cast your vote.

by on Nov.04, 2010, under Ultimate Edition

[ad#wide]

Cowboy, the graphics god has spoken. I have generated a poll for users to cast their vote for the Ultimate Edition 2.9 logo. I may drop a poll for the wallpaper & theme as well, we will see. I have a bunch on my plate as it is. Do not think I have forgot, we have a lite edition on our server being tested as well as a netbook edition. I have no way to even know if netbook works or not, I do not have a netbook.

I do know this: I built Ultimate Edition 2.6.1 and works beautifully on ATI based hardware, however fails on NVidia. I will have to rebuild that one, actually probably all of them. I once again want to thank my admin. I was ready to throw 2.6.1 to the public, 2 of them stopped me. I do not want to be the bearer of bad news, but not everyone on this planet runs ATI 😉 Dathem, one of our admin has sent me an NVidia card. I am hoping to close out problems in this department. Thanks Admin.

by on Nov.03, 2010, under Hosting, Linux, Ultimate Edition

I have probably 6,000 or so unread emails, many with the subject Thanks. I am sorry I do not have time to read each one & say thanks for your kind words. I would also like to personally thank Jim F from Ohio for his large donation, which by the way could not have came at a better time. Actually thanks to all those that have donated. I have renewed 6 expiring domains and paid for hosting. You people are great.

Thanks,

It is on it’s way.

by on Oct.29, 2010, under Ultimate Edition

Wow, ppl want to drop their 2 cents. I have 32 comments to approve since last here to approve. I am going to be open, I am uploading what I will run for the perceivable future. I have enhanced what I felt to be a great O/S and will call upon my admin / beta testers to try and tell me otherwise. I will not lie or sugar-cote it, they will have one job and that job is to find any mistake I have made. I wish them luck.

Sometimes it may appear to you that I falter, I am looking out for your best interest. I will once again not BS you. I wish I could tell you the things I have in gear. I can tell you this PS/3 is not one of them, I viewed as I am sued. If Mr. Breeg wants to take that on is on him, how much blood can you squeeze from a turnip? Wait until you see what I have coming for you & nothing can be said otherwise.

I think it is funny, let’s do numbers. Those that are oblivious all the better. Wait, until I drop the Bomb.

Sourceforge rocks…

by on Oct.20, 2010, under Ultimate Edition

I have had many a mirror, some sending a Terabyte in a day, none holds a candle, I want you to understand:

Sourceforge rox

The math is nasty. I will eventually tell everyone what I have delt with as far as the Internet.

Petabytes, what matters beyond? Terabytes, I have failed. I try. I wish you can sit in my shoes. I have shoved it across the net. I will not at this time provide the links to obtain. We are here to learn.

Ultimate Edition 2.8 gone gold?

by on Oct.12, 2010, under Linux, Ubuntu, Ultimate Edition

I do not want to get your hopes up, but I have finished both the x86 (32 bit) and 64 bit versions of Ultimate Edition 2.8. I have uploaded both and are being ran through the ringers by admin / testers. This will be a final release based on Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat as soon as they give me the go ahead. It only takes 8 minutes a piece to transfer them to Sourceforge. If errors are found on my department, I will re-build & re-upload it as many times as necessary until perfection is met. This is why I said don’t get your hopes up. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up it may be coming quite soon.

It will be a few days at best for testing, bug reporting, and feedback. Could be as early as Friday; a best case scenario. Cross your fingers & stay tuned.

Ultimate Edition 2.8 Beta

by on Sep.19, 2010, under Linux, Ubuntu, Ultimate Edition

Surprise, surprise… Have the beta. It is far from final and has many issues. It is ok to run it Live. I do not suggest installing it. There are many issues with python. I also personally see issues with the new Xorg 1.9. No compiz for me, hopefully all will be ironed out by the final release. I do not plan on releasing a 64 bit edition, until it is final. As a little side note: Ultimate Edition PS/3 will also hopefully be on its way shortly.

Enjoy,

TheeMahn

When it rains it pours…

by on Sep.02, 2010, under Ultimate Edition

Sorry for the downtime, I have had a bit of a crisis on hand. My girlfriend of 11 years has caught Tuberculosis (TB) & possibly has Cancer. We now have the health department visiting our house daily and we use products like Delta 8 cartridges to deal with her pain. For additional comfort, THC gummies such as Indacloud Pineapple funta can provide both relaxation and stress relief.

The journey we’re on has been an eye-opener in many ways, particularly in understanding how various health conditions can be eased with different types of medication, including cannabis. It’s fascinating and, at times, a relief to discover how alternative treatments like cannabis products can play a significant role in managing symptoms, especially in cases where traditional medications may not be as effective or can have challenging side effects.

For instance, in our situation, Los Angeles Dispensary has been a game-changer in managing pain and discomfort. Beyond just pain relief, I’ve read about and heard from others how cannabis can aid with symptoms like nausea, anxiety, and even sleep disturbances, all of which are common in serious health conditions. This exploration into alternative therapies has been an unexpected journey, and it’s highlighted how diverse and personalized medical treatment can be.

It’s also opened up a dialogue about the broader implications and potential benefits of cannabis and similar products in the medical field. There seems to be a growing recognition of their value, especially in palliative care and chronic conditions. This shift in perspective is not just about embracing new treatments but also about understanding and respecting the diverse needs and responses of patients facing various health challenges.

As we continue to navigate through this tough time, I’m hopeful and grateful for the ways in which these alternative options have provided some comfort and relief. It reinforces the idea that healthcare and treatment are not one-size-fits-all and that being open to different approaches can sometimes lead to finding the best path for each individual’s wellbeing.
