Building Ultimate Edition 4.2.1 Gamers

Building Ultimate Edition 4.2.1 Gamers

I thought I would return and build a few LTS’s (Long Term Supported) releases. What used to take me a month for one, I built and uploaded all 6 in one day with the newest (in testing tmosb 1.9.2) your feedback is appriciated:

Sorry, for dual monitors. I actually have tripple monitors & dual video cards in crossfire:

I will not rob you of the build logs (they are also on the dvd, put there by tmosb): tmosb-1.9.1-build-logs.tar I can’t integrate the md5sum on the disk, or the above auto-generated information, because that information would change the md5sum of the disk. I will now provide that information:

I wish I could upload at 10 MB/s 😉 The future of tmosb? I have incorporated a few new switches, none are available as a public release currently. I intended to keep this as an undocumented feature, and will allow me to advance the tool even while I am at work at my other job, so much for undocumented:

--YES

It stops all prompting it will not ask you if you are sure, I will write a function to start at the top and build all 156 operating systems while I am at work at my other job, I can’t have it asking questions. Come home and find my 9TB Raid array full lol. I’m going to have to buy a few more hard drives, I can see it coming. I have also written a function for loading out ISO’s to your current grub, no more wasting a DVD to test, or loading it out to a thumbdrive. I will test the ISO at SSD speed. Qemu is great for a virtual machine, however there is nothing better then a real machine.

I have spoke of the changes that are in works etc. On our forum, I suggest a read in it’s entirity. I did have to do a few things by hand in the release of Ultimate Edition 4.4 x86 Gamers

Do not think that tmosb data is not passed:

Putting a face on tmosb

by on Sep.26, 2014, under Linux, Programming, Ultamatix, Ultimate Edition

I have began programming in Python Qt to put a GUI (Graphical User Interface) on Tmosb (TheeMahn’s O/S Builder). It is no where close to being complete, but understand it is coming. I have been thinking about borrowing some code from Ultamatix to integrate the terminal and progress bar, we will see. Why re-create the wheel right?
Tmosb, is starting to get a face.

Tmosb, is starting to get a face.

I know not everyone has dual monitors, and makes it hard to see the above image. let me break it down for you:

Monitor 1: Programming tmosb 1.9.0 in PythonQt

Monitor 2: Ultimate Edition 4.2.1 x86 O/S built with tmosb 1.9.0

Monitor 2: Ultimate Edition 4.2.1 x86 O/S built with tmosb 1.9.0

The backend is written in Bash & has advanced substantially, would I label it a final release? Certainly not, but if you are one of the brave and would like to test it:

Application: TheeMahn’s O/S Builder (tmosb)
Version: 1.9.0
Filesize: 3,527,656
Download: Tmosb
Initial Documentation: 1, 2, forum

Tmosb, now supports foreign architectures such as Armhf, Armel and PowerPC, I however have no way to test them. If you would like to donate to the purchase of a Nexus 7 and a powerpc to advance the software. Please feel free to do so here. In the comment section of the donation please include the word Nexus 7 or PowerPC. I would appriciate any feedback, good or bad.

Thanks,

TheeMahn

I told you I do not want to build Operating Systems. I want to program. I will have software doing so for me and I ment it. This is the tip of the iceburg, none the less enjoy Ultimate Edition 4.5. I want you to understand I am going to put Ultimate Edition on your phone, tablet and PowerPC as well. It is just a matter of time. The LTS I built I will go through like a fine tooth comb. Take Ultimate Edition 4.5 as a grain of salt at this point.

I am not going to provide info other then have Ultimate Edition 4.5:

You will probably have to wait for the servers to populate, slow at best. Sorry, this is no large release as far as I got to have it. I will not take the time to work it into such. Big things are coming, please kick back and enjoy. Our traffic, by an educated estimate will manifold 4 fold. Let the ride begin.

I know you can see version 1.8.9 in both scenarios, however I version lock tmosb until a public release. Makes it hard on beta testers, my condolences.

I did not forget what LTS means.

by on Aug.27, 2014, under How to, Linux, Programming, Ubuntu, Ultimate Edition

LTS (Long Term Supported), does not mean those that are running Ultimate Edition 3.4.X have to suffer as Ultimate Edition 4.2.1 for example advances. I have now incorporated code into TheeMahn O/S Builder (tmosb) 1.8.9 to upgrade existing Operating Systems. The screenie below is very large due to dual monitors higher then HD, thank you multi-monitor application for setting it up for me.

LTS

In case you can not figure what is going on or cant see the large photo, I am upgrading Ultimate Edition 3.4.1 to what will be Ultimate Edition 3.4.3 using:
tmosb --upgrade ultimate-edition-3.4.1-lite-x64.iso
uecorebuilder 3.4.3 lite

I will eventually push into one command:
tmosb --upgrade ultimate-edition-3.4.1-lite-x64.iso 3.4.3
Did you know it took me over an hour to install Ultimate Edition 3.4.1 because of mediabuntu repos being non-existant? KeySnatcher has automatically rectified that situation as it is upgrading the distro.

When all the tools I have written (pages still to write in previous link) come together, they will sing in harmony of a perfect Operating System as well as Operating System constructor. I am currently sorry tmosb 1.8.9 is not available to the public until I see solid release, after solid release; built with the tool.

On a lighter note, I have seen people building Operating Systems using the same tool, however using as the base for example running Ultimate Edition 4.2, building Ultimate Edition 4.3. I will formulate the tool to not care what Operating System you are running and just provide exactly what you want. I built Ultimate Edition 4.4 (Ubuntu Utopic Unicorn 14.10 based) with 5 additional DE (desktop environments) 2 or 3 days ago and very sucessfully I may add; it is just a matter of time.

I have a ton of people climbing on my back to get their phalanges on Ultimate Edition 4.2 the final release that is. They won’t let me finish it without inturption. I grant you beta testers and donors should have it now. Speaking of donors one of the issues I seen was ubiquity splash claimed you would be running firefox 26, far from the truth & did not inject your names into the O/S. None the less a need for a re-build, my donors list was 3 or 4 months behind, I have rectified that as well. I am unsure if you know this, but soon will. I wrote an application a sub-program of tmosb (included in Ultimate Edition 4.2 as well) that scans the donors file, injects and builds a deb specifically for what we will soon be able to build together, does not have to be Ultimate Edition either:

Is the above information correct (Y/N)?

Took me a few hours to update the donors page as I was going along. Let me point out a few thing as it stands, tmosb is integraded in the Operating System, please do not feel it is even close to what I am projecting it will be. When Repostorm enters the picture uncountless error free Operating Systems will walk the planet like the Jolly Green Giant. We will talk more about that later.

Happy 4th of July,

TheeMahn
