Transpiration at it’s finest.

I have been so busy. Where to start? I got Married 07/25/15 to begin with to the love of my life. I have known / dated her since I was 17. Perhaps the term soul mate does have meaning, just took me a few to get there. I have shut down 5 clouds, you may want to know why? At my wedding one of our admin was there and seen a $200 donation goto his phone & card. He pointed it out and immediately sent it to my card. I am not 100% sure how that happened. As of late I at best I have seen $20 in donations for a month as I dump $200 or better to keep this site and others afloat. I checked this site and see it is indeed going to my card, the same card that pays the hosting bills.
I assume, one of the other sites had his paypal info on it. We have over 20 websites, should I say had. It’s not hard for me to believe. That is donors money and upsets me more then perhaps it even upsets you. I have been keeping us afloat for months. I do not work at NASA, Google has helped on top of the $200 I have dumped over and over again. I have to bare in my mind the future and that is a home for I and my wife, I can not continuously pay for it all. Until I find out exactly what has transpired do not donate from any other link then the donation link at the top on this very site. I will bring up one site at a time and investigate. I have changed the password on this site and you can rest assured will not happen again. Please work with me. If I find out money was stolen from our users, should I press charges?
Now that I think about it, I could have DigitalOcean rip though my entire account looking any Paypal activity, even it a site is down it’s still backed up on a droplet. We still own all the domains. They would probably charge me for that. One step at a time. I live by the statement “One day at a time”.

Hi Theeman,
congratulations for you marriage and I’m glad that my donation just happend t oreach you the very day you got married. It was me who donated those 200$ from Switzerland and it is meant as an acknowledgement for your fine and enthusing work.
I don’t know how the donation reached Josh Freeman from one of your numerous sites, I just used one of these with the Pay Pal sign on it and went on in the procedure. Anyway it reached you and that was what I intended to do.
Excus my lousy english,
have a good time, with best wishes
Hanno

I want to personally thank you for donating. I purchased a Bluray Burner, media and 5 external drive bays which I used to back up all my data. The Bluray has had a positive impact on Ultimate Edition. I created a ultimate-edition-8-in-one-bluray.iso 8 operating systems on one disk. I have already uploaded it. I am now moving it from one of our backup servers to one of our main servers, from there I will shoot it worldwide on Sourceforge. It is going to take a long minute:
ultimate-edition-8-in-one-bluray.iso
maybe not too long..
2015-08-12 17:47:41 (12.6 MB/s) – ‘ultimate-edition-8-in-one-bluray.iso’ saved [22434283520]
Now to shove it to Sourceforge…
Thanks again for donating,
TheeMahn

I went to donate a week or so back and found that in order to donate via paypal, I had to create or open a paypal account. I have never had that happen before in that you could always make a payment as a guest, but it stopped me from donating since I had a paypal account and refuse to give them a bank account as a “backup” to the listed credit card, thus I ran out of ability to do business with that account. If you come up with a means by which I can donate to you other than by creating a paypal account I would be willing to as I really like the direction that this OS has been moving. I also don’t do “social media” since I do feel that my life should be my own, and not shared with the world against my will. Facebook is very much like the new Windows 10 in that respect – you accept them at face value you have no privacy whatsoever, and probably both will be the same in that securing your privacy will remain a moving target all the time you are involved with either.
Again, give me an alternative – I’ll even mail a check – and I’m happey to donate.

I have no control over how paypal handles donations. I personally think it is BS they “require” you to get a PayPal account. I hate them to be honest with you. They just do whatever they want in order to suck up more users, probably the #1 reason donations have almost flat lined. I do have a Google wallet account, I don’t know if they accept donations. Since my PayPal is attached to Google Wallet. I wonder if it not only would bypass the need for a “Paypal” account, but bypass the extortionate fees Paypal charges, would that not be a kick to the teeth to PayPal 😉 Something when I get the time, will have to look into. I have other Credit cards & debit cards I can attach & eliminate them all-together, would that not be nice 😉

Hey there themahn, You probably don’t get to these as often as I hoped but I’m having real trouble getting registered to your forum. I even opened two new emails and tried registering with both of them and I still cannot get a confirmation email. I’ve checked spam folders but nada. Really would like to get some of your great support. I know your busy but if you see this please let me know.
Thanks Handy

To TheeMahn,
Congratulations on your recent marriage, you sound like my Son and his wife. They were a couple for at least 8 years before they finally got married a couple of years ago.
Is this the working URL for donations? http://ultimateedition.info/index.php/ultimate_edition/transpiration-at-its-finest/
I am on a medical retirement so what I am able to donate will be modest in comparison to the recent $200 donation you received but will send what I can afford. Thanks for your efforts.
Oh I do have another question for you, have you ever considered making your various ISO files available via BitTorrent? I have recently been looking at several different distros and noticed that quite a few offer downloads via BitTorrent as well as their normal hosting services. I have been using BitTorrent when available and most of the time I get much faster downloads using this method. I am certain that if you offered BitTorrent links that it would take a load off of your normal hosting sites. I have noticed that most of the Linux based ISO’s have been listed on the Linux Tracker http://linuxtracker.org/ This might be something you may want to consider.
Regards,
Robert B.

Most places I go that use paypal allow a guest payment, so perhaps its the way you have it set up. In the meantime I should have said congratulations on making one of the biggest changes a man can make in his life. May it be blessed with happiness for as long as time exists.
Something I would like to mention. I have a Seagate “hybrid” drive. No it doesn’t run on batteries as well as gas. Seagate put a 4 gig NAND buffer on the drive so that it works faster than a SATA but slower than an SSD, but the improvement is worth the small extra price over a standard SATA drive. The problem is that I have yet to see a Linux partitioner/installer see the drive as anything but an empty drive. That is, I can have Windows and an extended partition on it, along with a created Linux and swap partitions, but the installers – including yours – only sees it as a full empty drive with no partitions at all. Since it operates faster, I like to have my bootable partitions on it, but if I am going to install UE4.4, for instance, I have to do it to s standard SATA or an SSD. I’ve mentioned this to several other developers, but never hear back. Got any ideas why the drive can be seen properly by Windows AND Linux – in live mode, the whole drive is there, it’s just the installers that don’t see the partitions.

Hey there TheeMahn, I just want to thank you for all your hard work. I have been trying to get on your forum but it keeps telling me that my email is already registered. I have searched all my emails and do not remember ever using the forum before. I tried to contact the site admin but it comes back as undeliverable. Could you please help me out. I really need the support.

I find it’s useful to have a separate account – at a separate financial institution. Just sayin’.
Congratulations!

Any More word as to what the future holds , I have been following UE for a long time now and have been watching the developement of TheeMahns OS builder and am hoping to see its continuance but haven’t seen much lately on it. Not a big fan of Paypal after many years ago a problem with a past account left a bad taste in my mouth. Probably not doable but would maybe be able to contribute via snail mail and check as I live in the USA also and know that TheeMahn and XXjoker are here as well. Any possibilty maybe a PO Box?
