Merry Xmas from the UE Team…
by TheeMahn on Dec.25, 2010, under Linux, Themes, Ubuntu, Ultimate Edition
I was hoping to have a nice gift for you xmas level, minty wise. I have failed.
As said there, I want to at least provide you a xmas theme. You guys have no idea how hard I work, but will show through on our next release.

I do not stop working even on Xmas. I would to love to tell you what I was building. I have a new toy that says a Netbook Edition of Ultimate Edition is also coming. I have probably 10 computers in house 0 were laptops / tablet based pc’s. Local testers provide feedback before I even consider uploading. The notebook issue a new fish to fry. This will open new doors. I have one of these to work magic on. Toshiba M750.
I would love to show you compiz on a tablet pc. I have shocked many.
Eventually, I may drop a video of it. I am here for your best interest. Sleep tight in knowing I will not prematurely release what you deserve. I am not about releasing an O/S every other day, but to release stability. All I ask in return is to give me the time to ensure you get the best. The survey would be a plus, but I do not require it.
Releasing an O/S every other day would shove us up the chain as far as distrowatch. I have a large ego, but prefer to sit down the list. Do you feel I am wrong for that mode of thinking? Sorry, I could not give you a better Xmas present.
Many feel I should just take over by storm, yes we can. I personally do not want to be remembered for such. I honestly care. Do you think any of the top 10 do?

Merry Christmas TheeMahn! You work entirely TOO hard for us! I wish you would take it easy on Christmas. I know we can be demanding on your talents and ability to do what we ourselves are not as capable at getting done, but everyone needs time to themselves too. I thank you for giving us an OS that shines above all others and my #1 machine is all decked out with UE and my “internet” machine is Mint, so you can know that would
be an all out treat to have UE on every machine! Just wanted to say thanks again and hope your Christmas Is a joyous one! May
God bless you for all you do! PATIENTLY waiting for any new “stuff” you put out there for us.

Hey TheeMahn. 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and your friends and family. Have a blessed New Year! I hope and pray that you and your girlfriend are doing much better.
No worries about the UE Christmas Edition. You did your best. I thank you. That Ultimint Edition does sound pretty cool. The UE Lite, I am sure would be real snappy on the Toshiba M750 netbook. Question: Has the UE 2.6.1 went gold/final? Is the survey still in the works?
Hey take a break, enjoy Christmas. God Bless. Peace.

Merry Christmas & a New Year filled with surprises, like the end of the world of sin, pain, and sorrow…. yeehah!!! Hint: Adam and Eve’s unbelief in the garden can be traced back to 3989BC. -3989+6,000 (number of years given to demonstrate sir satan’s government of self) = 2011 + 1 (for the zero year between BC & AD) = 2012. The ego’s gotta go TheeMahn no slow suicide on my watch without at least a warning.
By the way, can’t wait for the netbook laptop UE edition. Nothing much works to keep the power consumption down on my ACER Timeline which is supposed to get 8 plus hours of battery time on windows but I wouldn’t know since I refuse to use it. Even powertop and wattospm don’t help much. Boohoo. Retro’d back to 2.6.1 per your comments and will build it up to use on my desktop also. 2.8 ain’t no dog either, love the bling bling!!! Great OS you genius!

Hey there! I just didn’t take the time to thank you, man, for everything that you’re doing and all of your supporting community!
TheeMan, i would like to get a small interview with you, just a few questions about Ultimate Edition. It is for a blog i keep, i have just began so the audience isn’t impressive but it would mean a lot to me. Do you think you can take the time to email me an answer?
Thanks!

I am running 2.6, 2.7 & 2.8 on Dell notebooks and loving it. It is the greatest and it installs very easily on D620, D630 and D420. Thanks for all of your hard work. I hope you are rewarded 10 times more than Gates and his lousy work and poor customer service. I promote it actively to everybody I know. UE should be number one.

You need a srs kick in the self esteem. I discovered UE w/version 2.6. I just upgraded to 2.8-all the hard work you do shows, and I, for one, appreciate it greatly.

TheeMan, this is great news.
Your impressive (unequaled) work has been my ticket to Linux.
Used Windoze because of accessibility, compatibility with certain programs.
Never learned to work with command line, only GUI,
so I’ve been limited getting Linux distros to work.
Got new Fujitsu TH700 (with Wacom dual-digitizer) for work.
Tried Ubuntu Maverick, and Netbook remix (w/Unity):
Tablet works good with pen, multi-touch does not.
I understand this is in development.
Fujitsu TH700:
dual-core 2.3 ghz
4 gb ddr3
12″ dual-digitizer
320 gb hdd,
all standard from fact.
Looking forward to your new developments…
Many Thanks!
