Lets just roll…
by TheeMahn on Jun.01, 2010, under Ultimate Edition
I have squashed the issues with the forum, I have moved on and Ultimate Edition 2.7 final is uploading. I still have to build the x64 edition. Knowing what I know now, no real issue. I would like to say this openly please do not attempt to hack my website to get your hands on what I refer to. I do not want to point fingers, but this has happened. I have screenshots of such actions. Patience is a virtue. You now know it is coming. I do not need to deal with any extra issues, like I said just roll with me. We had 3 million+ pageviews last month just this site, how many are hackers? We have 9 websites, guess who maintains them. By doing so the only thing you accomplish is slowing me down. Wouldn’t you like to see Ultimate Edition 2.8? You do know a PS/3 edition is just around the corner and will demand my attention.

If I am in the wrong topic please shift it to the right one?!
I am a windows man but This Linux Ultimate make me a new person if we talk about computers and use it….
To test out of curiosity I downloaded this 2.6 because of the flood of software and wauw, what nice and good working.
I am specialist in making movies my own, just re editing, ripping, authoring, bla bla bla. I used the K9Copy from DVD to MKV, super!
There are however 3 programms I missed, because I am a usenet man to, I post myself and in Windows I use some special programms I could not find here:
1. Powerpost
2. Quickpar
3. Subrip (srt) and or Suprip (sup)
Are they available for Linux? Can you “deliver” them in the newest distribution of your 2.7 or 2.8? If you can you will have a new Linux user!
sincerly yours,

UE 2.7 is already uploaded and released to admin, mods & beta testers; so no chance adding the software there. 2.8 maybe I will have to look into it. Thanks for the nice comments.

I typically deal with a bunch of women, no pun inended they hate me. I will take care of business. I sent UE 2.7 prior to me wanting to do so and not released officially. Woman are on my ass nothing personal they should leave me alone.

I had a few problems loading ultimate edition 2.7 my new mother board was blocking me with the default settings so i set the latency to its lowest timings and finally got it to load.before i changed the bios settings it would hang in the middle of install.the motherboard is a as-rock p4vm800 with p4 ht 2,800 over clocked to 3,100 with 1 gig ddr400 250gig sata2 hard drive.I would like to help in testing and reporting bugs if it would be helpful. The only thing is i just have this older equipment i hot rodded.I am currently in college for networking specialist but can help send bug reports if i run in to any.my Email is xxjoker21xx@yahoo.com give me a yell if you need my help.

We are about to start, open beta testing. Everyone will have their chance to test. Glad to see you got it working, nix is somewhat picky when it comes to overclocking.

Just so my problem was clear.the speed had nothing to do with it.It was the cycle timing that was causing the problem.i overclocked it after i got the system loaded.Prior to that it was running at default 2.8gig.For some reason the op sys had a problem with the default settings on this board and everything was set to auto.It would get to about 80% and say there was a problem with the drive and ask to reboot. The dvd burner is new and so is the western digital 250gig sata2 hard drive.I also tryed tweaking the dma settings but that wasn’t the problem.Anyway i love this op sys and cant wait to test the 2.8 on my laptop a gateway nv53.A satisfied user Xxjoker21xX

I have been know to do a bit of overclocking myself, I typically only mess with the processor and ram. I “typically” do not mess with hard disks and dma’s. Setting cache on hard disks & ssd a different story. I will be updating that post on getting the most out of ssd’s. Ultimate Edition 2.8 Alpha 1 may be released as early as tomorrow. Don’t quote me on that 😉
