Gratitude
by TheeMahn on Sep.15, 2011, under Ultimate Edition
I have seen the vestige of my understanding. I have enjoyed Larry err Meister for a term of nothing less then 25 years. This is w/o note what I will enjoy:
Most users ever online were 126, on September 15, 2011 @ 11:36 pm.
We have purchased another website, will it ever end? When I speak I speak solely, not an integer of many sites. I want to congratulate my right hand man for stepping up to the plate. He has taken on his job unlike any other. Most get skittish when playing with many. That by they way is based on 5 minutes. Ultimate Edition 3.0 drops what will that number say? As the admin play with UE 3.0, I have since rebuilt it, catch this built on Goliath’s machine, and Meister is the only man to waltz the planet with what could possibly be the final product.
I do not think you caught that, I do not have or run it. Talk to Mr. Breeg about how things roll around here.
Thanks for “Clarification” Meister.

Hi
Been wanting to write since TheeMahn’s earlier post, one thing led to another till now, when am able to write.
UE is one of the best OS’s i have used . The live CD / DVD / USB is what knoppix used to be 5 years back (which was the greatest in its time) .
The choice of software is eye-opening, the stability is fantastic.
UE introduced me to the “pae kernels”, and amongst the many many other beauties also worth mentioning is the host of scripts available at right click.
Its made my system feel and work faster then other Linux OS’. It made the OS stable and led to an increase in work productivity, which me thinks many linux users know means less tinkering and more work, however enjoyable the tinkering might be.
UE also taught me that one can always makes ones OS even better.
Am sure that such work is not easy, nor is it always perceivably rewarding and that there are frustrations which are not easy to cope with. One wishes there was engine which could run of such steam vented from frustrations, Am sure it would solve a huge energy crisis 🙂
Some kinds of Work, and open source and gratis software work especially and understandably is like this *a lot of hard work* and in the end not so much to show off as to have to move on the next assignment *yet another stable fantastic version* to meet the demands of the hooked on to 6 monthly distro change folks
People like me, who depend on free software and who use and promote open source, can only give, people like you – who develop and bring *wonderful open source* to our desktops, our sincere thanks and draw on our spirits of choice (mine being the varied beauties of nature) to bless you with happiness, cheer, and what ever you dream of.
So TheeMahn and all those of you who bring us this wonder called UE, thanks and nature be with you.

This is not a slim goose.
This means to all of the individuals that just boast, that this team is not doing anything.
We have read all it’s coming and goings, its up and downs on all most daily bases.
It is easy to make accusations an boast with justification on others work.
In my 18 years of Distro hopping, I have seen many come and go.
I have 2.7 TB of Distros images and all it is BSD, SOLARIS. And LINUX.
I rate each one of distributions for merits and application in workplace.
And of all it areas and UE rates the best for stability usefulness and rounded software content.
Yes!!! this may seam like boastful commenting.
But you can take any Distro and out of the box OR out it ISO, Ultimate Edition in any flavor it is out standing.
Fedora, Gentoo, Suse, Ubuntu, Mandriva, Slackware, BSD, Debian.
They are all good OS, but and all the applications that come with UE and it would take you at least 20 to 78 hours but to get it working.
And that doesn’t even mean that it will be stable.
This team takes the time and care to make all the applications in this OS work flawless on a multiplicity of machines.
Tell of any other OS that dose this with a high rate reliability like Ultimate Edition.
And I grant that there is a OS for every one with in LINUX.
But tell of one that comes this close in having a consistent like that of UE.
Yes it is UBUNTU based, and yes Mint has maid strides in making Linux easy to migrate from MS.
And every one in the Linux community has made it happen one day and one application at a time.
And I thank each and every one of them, and in some cases I have, some more than others.
To them I thank you now for all your time and effort in making Linux one the best OS’S in the world.
But to this team that berry few in the Linux community have priced for there work.
I do now !!
Unlike other witch think that a timely out put on and OS in a mark of greatness ,,, I said FUIIII!!
why who dictates that and OS is do on a certain date, no it is a goal to reach.
Every one complaint a bought unity, did anyone do anything of it, why.
It was made for tablets not for PC’S, was it wrong? No that was the intension.
There are to many electronic lite PC’S in the market.
This TEAM dose just one and it is home and portable PC’S and do it very well.
Like a quite a few of you out there I deal with the public, some in service like I did at one time.
There is a Linux for every user but in general this covers most people day to day with out needing to add anything els.
I have even use this Distro in Schools for that reason, just added a few other thing to complement the teachers and students needs.
SO I thank you again team ULTIMATE EDITION for great and out standing work.
Lott.

Thanks, Lott
I am happy to announce Ultimate Edition 3.0 will indeed be a first of its kind. I do not want to let the cat out of the bag as of yet, but when I write the official release announcement perhaps you and others will understand.
Everything will be moving in a more positive manner. I have ppl in training, most are like sponges and absorb information as fast as I can teach them even after only being taught once. This is the true meaning of smart – smart being your ability to learn, intelligence being what you possess. They typically go hand in hand.
There are some other changes coming over the horizon. Does not mean it does not involve me, just means in this department involves me less. Ultimate say so here? Initially, surely. I would hate to think the countless hours I have spent building distros & have a firm grip in understanding.
You know what really grabs me, vagueness. I have been told I am vague perhaps almost obtrusive in delving what is going on. I have not only reasoning behind doing so, but a goal in doing so. I have seen how just one individual can wreak havoc on letting something slip he may or may not happen to know about.
Thank you for your kind comments on how you view Ultimate Edition.

Para {angelito9871}
September 21st, 2011 on 8:05 pm
Thank you TheeMahn for you kind response.
And I took the liberty to answer to {angelito9871}
in a briefly manner I told him, that this distribution is not a regular distribution.
That this is done to perfection, and it will not be release before it’s time.
Perfection is something that takes time and patience.
And also that I was taking the liberty in speaking.
But I told him Ultimate Edition was coming soon but there is no definite time line.
Also that to excuse my grammar because I lived till recently in US, and that at 50 I am relearning Spanish.
I hope that this dose not bother you, but I was trying to help in my own way.
Leaving in Colombia I know how inpatient Latin communities are, and since I am of Latin descendent’s.
So I hope this dose not offend.
And thank you again TheeMahn.

I just installed UE3 on a Toshiba L350 laptop. Everything work and look great. Really slick OS. Thank you Thee Mahn and the UE team for all your hard work and the time you have put into this project.
Hey, Thee Mahn our best Wishes for you (University Of Waterloo, Canada UE users) . Tough times never last, but it sure does feel bad, I use to walk an Hour to work when I was new to the country in the cold winters here…now, four years later, I am getting my North American stamp on my previous certificates. I bet you have the courage to ride-out the tough times cause you sure are a great guy, it shows…..awesome work…UE rocks.
Merry X’mas and happy holidays to UE team.
