You have no clue what is coming. A ThreadRipper Pro is 8 channel RAM. That is only dual channel. Do you know how many people have Ram-booter? The answer is ONE. DDR5 etc. I could go on. I do not know about you, but that is scary shit.

Everything is instant. As soon as I lift my finger off the mouse it is loaded. 256GB of ECC RAM. I do not care what game I want, when I release my finger instant. I am not talking 8 channel ram yet.

Software is in works of doing my job for me, seems to be doing it “almost” flawlessly & quickly using SMP (Symmetric multiprocessing) All autonomously. I did do a case study on parallel processing. I am a Operating System Architect, not just a programmer. In the basement of my house SledgeHammer is using Repostorm re-building the entire Focal Repository & has since January 25th. It is almost done. Error free Baby. What do you think that ThreadRipper will do? I can load the Entire Repository in 8 channel memory & 128 threads beating on errors. The software I write has no limits, I do not care if you have a million cores. 8 Channel ram is faster then ANY NVME on this planet. That set me back $1,300+ just in RAM (ECC) to top it off. I want them to understand who / what they are playing with.

What is that Glenn? That is an Operating System that does not exist, per say. Running in RAM (dual channel I remind you) 4 X 8GB sticks of GSkill 3200 @ 3000 MT/s thanks to RAM Booter. Those 5 NVMES I bought in raid 0 will not hold a candle to what I am writing / building. Everything will be instant.

Put your seat belt on and get ready for the ride. I am going to provide you an example, a Steam Deck booted from Ram Booter would be twice that in speed. It is quad channel. The Treadripper Pro is 8 channel, so double it again. Will smoke all those NVME’s, yes in raid. What I enjoy the most in the server configuration is almost zero overhead.

I hope other manufactures follow suite.

I have used Repostorm to bring our Repositories back online. I am certain that in itself caused a spike in traffic. The 500 errors are gone. You are downloading new software from our repositories. Over 200GB of new apps / Games. Yes, Repostorm GPG signed them. Some of them I re-built, because support was lost, so in essence we have more packages then even Ubuntu.

I suggest you stear clear of Ultimate Edition 7.0 or 7.1 or Hirsute (yes, that is Groovy) all together as far as installing it they do not care , nor do I it is not a LTS. Ever wonder why I did not build a 6.8 or 6.9?

I re-wrote Nasup, Uno, Ultimate-Media, Conky / Conky-builder all are services now. I have not officially released them yet. I did say KeySnatcher too right?

Let’s say you screw up your sources, Keysnatcher will fix them automatically. Nasup, dont have a NAS No Problemo I just told you use 0 memory. I can make it disable the service, I would not want it adding 6 seconds to your boot time. I have 20 Gigabit Networking and really understand. If you do have a NAS I want that picked up off the rip.

I am not there yet, but I can make it bow out. Before Nasup comes up so does Uno, it is Optimizing your Network & I do not give a damn if you are on dial up before detection of NAS drives. Making not only your Internet faster, but your network. Uno will never leave. Unless you disable it.

Conky is just a bonus. I almost forgot to tell you every application / service uses 0 memory the exception Ultimate-Media, that bastard feeds my house. My server runs it and so does my main rig.

I want to demonstrate the software I have in works. First look at specs of 2 different computers utilized in the test.

Kernels are most certainly different, don’t worry I will build a “Edge” Server. Both are on dual 10 Gigabit networking. The server has 5 X 8TB drives in Raid 0 (actually 6 one has failed going to replace them Friday) & 2 X 10TB drives also in raid 0. No slouch in data transfer speed. Both are insanely fast computers, both have NVME’s PCIE 4.0.

I just want to demonstrate the difference CPU cores make when software is written to take advantage of CPU resources. Using a single CPU core as most software is written takes 1 Hour and 10 minutes to do what I am about to show you the difference in software development & CPU cores. Today, it is almost impossible to find a single core CPU, however almost all software is written with a single CPU core in mind.

I am going to change that at least in Linux (Ultimate Edition).

Results?
Single core usage: 1 Hour 10 minutes
16 Core / 32 thread (AMD 3950X): 0h4m1s
12 Core / 24 thread (AMD 3900X): 0h10m3s

How did it exceed 32? It will launch the number of CPU cores you have available building themes utilizing the number of CPU cores you have available simultaneously. That is where software is heading from here forward on my end. It will probably take a long time to build, unless you have a fast computer, no matter what you have still faster then it would take as a single core CPU.

I do want you to understand the CPU I have is impossible to beat at a desktop level. It cost me $811.00 just for the CPU chip. Today much cheaper, when you step into the server world, things change. I am not dumping $5000.00 per CPU to pound the server world.

I will write software for it. Did you know I wrote an Operating System for the Air Force? I am really hard to touch when it comes to security. I have spent a large chunk of my life learning it. I will tell you where I am at now. Analytically will use 32 cores in my case. Will use 32 cores extracting data. When it installs software that way, they are all gone. I want to make sure you understand RepoStorm is fixing Errors 32 cores err threads at a time. Once I get installation working at a service level Repostorm will be the king, damn shame no-one else will have it. Damn shame once again I wrote it.

I don’t want to say I started writing software, because I have been writing it for some time now. I wrote an “sub-application” in tmosb called “uetheme” that automates theme creation. I am trying to think of the future & it built Ultimate Edition 6.7 theme from the ground up automously. Yes, indeed a Grub theme, Plymouth Theme & desktop theme GTK 2, XFCE, GTK3 etc. Powerful, I understand.

I am uploading a Ultimate Edition 6.7 Lite lol. The initial build was just that. I went back added full, server and extra. I did not use maximum compression, so I could toss a ton more in it. I am not going to release it to the general populus, however if you feel frosty and want to test it I dropped it on one of our servers.

It is not small by any means 4.4GB, I wanted to demonstrate I can go anyway I want. I could double the software, however this one will run smoothly live or otherwise. It is KDE based, so it is resource hungry. I would not even think about playing with it unless you have at least 4GB of memory. NVidia Support is there and will be in every release going forward in any Operating System I build here forward. Last time I checked I am the leading programmer and founder.

I have not found the error in my software or what could be the Desktop Environment YET. I suggest when it boots up select Breeze Dark as a “Global Theme” then select Ultimate Edition 6.7 to see where I am heading.

Why did I say lite when I built it? I only want 6.7 theme in it same happens when you build a gamers. Keep space low. To allow for more games for example. Gamers rips out tmosb it-self, you are not building Operating Systems, you are playing games. That is funny, did you know when I released 6.6 Gamers had only one yes one mirror 14 today, but lived on 1 for a week. Thousand 84 Downloads at 4.4 GB of data. Do the math on that one. We do not calculate my traffic. When you do something right they will come. Thanks again Sourceforge.

Wait until you see what I am bringing to the table. I have said this before. I will take down 1,000 programmers at a time. This is not my first rodeo. I was writing AI software years before they even knew what it was.

I wrote an application called uetheme told you that earlier (a part of tmosb) that Autonomously develops themes, ever seen Ultimate Edition 2.0 theme on Ultimate Edition 6.6 for example? That is now a reality & work in progress. All computer generated. 3 at a time Theme, Grub and Plymouth theme. None are final. I am still working out bugs in the software. Once fixed, will flawlessly generate every theme.

Do not think for one second those themes do not support XFCE, Mate etc.

Is this your first time here? Fantastic and welcome aboard, half the the work is done for you 😉 Those that are longtime users of Ultimate Edition can inform you, where you have landed is unlike any other Linux distribution. I would like to foremost apologize for the time involved in creation of this release, massive changes in the filesystem hierarchy, plenty of bugs to track down & squash.

What is Ultimate Edition 6.6? Ultimate Edition 6.6 was built from the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) tree using a combination of Tmosb (TheeMahn’s Operating System Builder), almost completely re-written & work by hand. Tmosb is also included in this release (except Gamers), allowing you to do the same. This release IS a Long Term Supported (LTS) release, supported until the year 2025. This release is most certainly worthy of the Ultimate Edition title.  I have advanced tmosb to allow for “Compression=Maximum”, while this does  make it slow when running live, does allow for a wider swath of Software or Games.  Once installed nothing can contend with it as can be seen in the video.

I have re-written the bootstrap to open doors that computers in the past did not work including writing NVidia support.  You can thank Mr_Breeg for that 😉  There are many Operating Systems you have not seen YET that TMOSB can produce in automated fashion.
