Welcome aboard UE 3.2!!!

You will not be disappointed after what I have seen building it 😉 I could preach all the good it will bring you, this is not my job. Evidently I am not intended to spend my time programming 😉 6 operating environments, I want my users to be able to see what is coming. Excuse the passing of Ultimate edition 3.1, I will pick it up. I have big shoulders. Everyone evidently wants me to write distros. I am not meek in the melon. I have your back ladies & gentlemen,
You know what I want 0 mention this O/S exists. I see the numbers & it no longer intrigues me, nor does it make me happy. The only happiness I look forward to is the end user.
This is what grabs me, I see statements like that and I begin to perceive, sorry I am out for your best interest.

Well it looks nice, but doesnt work properly on my PC. No sound or compiz effects working. Some programs just crash when I try them out. Too bad.

Just FYI,
UE3.0 works fine on my ASUS HE1000 Netbook – no problems found to date.
Really like it. Fast boot from Samsung SSD.
Recognises Soundblaster USB X-Fi as I/O device but couldn’t install Creative GUI/Software.
Sad to report:-
UE3.0 not functional on my Lenovo X220. Will not connect to WiFi.
UE3.1 and UE3.2 not useable on either machine.
KDE Log-on errors on ASUS 1000HE.
Will n0ot complete boot sequence on Lenovo X220
Both machines (multi-boot) fundtion 100% with Ubuntu, SUSe, WInXP and WIN7.

No decency Like Windows 8 Or Mac… Consisting of many problems…Most of the users must be expecting decent look… Theemahn you told me that the looks and features of ultimate 3.2 will be like windows 8 or mac… You told me to wait till 3.2, but the results are unsatisfactory…

Hi all well I just downloaded Ultimate 3.2 64 and it is a work of art congratulations on a great if not the best Linux distro I have tried many many thanks.
If only I could get Netflix to work on linux it would be a perfect world 🙂

I’ve loved every version of Ultimate Edition I have tried until now. 3.2 does not function as easily as the others before it. I liked the trash can by default on the bottom tray. I also liked firefox by default in the upper tray. Both of those are missing now. Before, all I had to add was nvidia drivers and poof, effects were all good. Not so with 3.2. I can’t get effects to work at all under gnome with effects. Other than that, I am finding it to be a very nice piece of work.

3.01 worked perfect,awesome.
Put this on USB and booted to live. No wireless and no compiz. First version since 2.6 that this has happened. Oz unity with kernel 3 detects my wireless so don’t understand why this isn’t working. Sticking with Oz for now. Sorry.

So burned 3.2 64bit, booted off DVD and didn’t get very far, seems like it just kinda died and left me sitting at desktop; booted up sound and all then that was about it, I wanna just install but I couldn’t get wubi working with UE, and I don’t wanna just install without testing.
Suggestions!?

Thank you Theemahn- using 3.1 no problems – Asus Eeepc 1015b. Great apps and candy and quick too – great work.
However tried both 32/64 bit 3.2 – no wifi, and only Gome Classic works. Also 64bit loader fails. Can anyone help?

Well finally I got U.E.3.2 to function properly. Lots of tweaking and searching for fixes, but you learn something new every day. Lots of fun. Even got it to work with smartcards. Great to see you up and running again. Cheers from Norway.

I’m sending this resp0onse from U.E. 3.2 86x which works as a live disk on my 64 bit system. On the other hand I burned two 3.2 64 bit U.E.’s which don’t work. I get a system problem detected pop up window and a system freeze once in Gnome. Whats Up??Looks like U.E. 64 bit download is a bug.

I have installed UE 2.8 Gamers edition. How do I upgrade to a newer edition either 3.2 or Gamers Edition 3.0? Will upgrading destroy what I have and cause a reformat loosing all I’ve installed?

I am having a hell of a time trying to install UE 3.2 on my G74SX laptop. It is slow to respond when installing. The backup reminder never goes of the screen, after clicking don’t show again.
