Happy vets day.

by on Nov.12, 2011, under Ultimate Edition

I am a vet of Desert storm / operation provide comfort era. Today I went to work my Saturday, had a fella that bought the shop dough-nuts & never served, however appreciation was there he bought them. Well a twist to a situation, today i worked and assumed I would do the same tomorrow. The foreman told me if I tossed out a ton of parts I would not have to work Saturday. Well the joke is on me none of them do. They all knew I was oblivious to the situation, why play a joke on TheeMahn? What comes around goes around right? What fire me so I can look for a real job? lol. Hard to drop apps on a Saturday, does not mean I can not adhere to the situation at hand. I have bought a few toys

I bide my time, perhaps a day off is all I asked for; a little global impact.

Such a situation does open the door to payback. One thing you have to consider is that if it was a harmless prank or joke, at least they think enough of you to actually pull it in the first place. If you were a witless dud no one liked, no one would bother with you. They should also understand that once you pull something like this, you have to expect to take it when it comes your way. As a “professional” wiseguy, I can tell you I love dishing it out, but I also get a good laugh when one comes my way. It’s all harmless stuff anyway, right?

With this in mind, to all the brains UE users have, I would like to know what would be a great prank or joke TheeMahn can use to get even? Please keep in mind it has to be basically harmless (no property damage, etc.)

I used to like getting people to laugh by going up to someone and say, “Hey, did you know I heard a nasty rumor about you the other day?”
Already roped into this conversation, the guy would reply, “Oh, really? What are they saying?” as if he knew who “they” were.
“The other day I heard someone say they had seen you do some work, but I didn’t believe it. You have a reputation to protect and I’m on your side!” Usually the guy busts out laughing knowing you were just having a little fun with him.

Okay, everyone, put your thinking hats on and let’s come up with something TheeMahn can pull on his wiseguys!

Thanks for the service TheeMahn, didn’t even know you served. I know how you feel though, I am on my 3rd tour right now, but about to leave in a few months. I have been to Iraq, Afghanistan, and back in Afghan land once again. LOL … You should have gotten used to the pranks and jokes when you were in, cause that is all we know how to do to pass time by. So all I have to say is that revenge is of sweat sorrow. This all explains why are you are so dedicated to things though, the LDRSHIP values that you learned and honored while serving. Keep up the great work and don’t let the man get you down.

Thanks for serving in our military. Most people take the things we have for granted. I’m able to enjoy the fruits of your current work thanks in no small part to people like you who have served in our military.

I’m a little late but I just wanted to say thank you for your service TheeMahn. We as a nation don’t do enough to say thank you or take care of our veterans and that’s a cryin’ shame. I never served but I have a healthy respect for those that do/did, whether voluntary or not, and I taught my kids the same. It’s not only a pleasure but a privilege to be able to shake the hand of a serviceman and tell them thank you for their service and contribution to our freedom and liberty, what little we have left. I wish that was taught in our schools. Anyway, Thanks again!
