Why Ultimate Edition 2.6.3 the 2.6 series is based on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04 a Long Term Support (LTS). Please allow me to quote one of our global mods kiwinsn:
Downloaded and installed like a dream….0 issues…I LOVED being able to listen to some USA radio while installing…The Mrs was also impressed…after I told her that usually all the drivers and set up needs to be done before trying to find a station to listen to.
Top marks once again, TheeMahn…I can only wonder at what we have in store if you can dropkick Unity into space….

A little update on Ultimate Edition 3.0 progress, one of the things that was holding me back is Natty uses GTK3, so a new theme was in order:

Ultimate Edition 2.6.3 is a great release. No issues, on installs on a Dual Core Intel, or a Quad Core AMD!

Brother I want to personally and openly thank you for your contribution to Ultimate Edition 3.0. The end user’s will enjoy a radio tray unlike any other due to your handiwork.
It is selfless effort such as you have put forth that in a large picture make Ultimate Edition what it is. I once again personally thank you & I certainly would hope the community thanks you.

I would be glad to run a beta copy of 3.0.. Your betas are better than most finals. My Sony laptop will give a run because it’s pretty picky.

You may find that most Ultimate Edition users like stability, and GNOME 2. We also would rather fight than switch to Unity or GNOME 3.

i hop it works with gateway nv 79 laptop core i3 have loved UE 2.7 no black screen sound headphone only but i love it i got 6 laptops all gateways but one works on all but new hp core 5 intel you guy`s got the best thing going love it thank`s mattgl

UE 2.6.3 installed just fine and running nicely. Ultimate Player great as well (crossfade is a must). One thing, I cannot change the cursor in preferences for some reason? Otherwise all is the best, thanks Thee Mahn and team!

This installed on an msi wind u100 and everything worked …. period!
Atom cpu, 1.6 ghz, 2g ram and 400g hhd, everything else is stock
This is fast enough and so far extremely stable!!
unity is a step backwards, G3 not much better is it?

Dont detect my GeForce 560 Ti and dont offer restricted driver. I must handy add Nvidia ppa repository 🙁

Theeman if you get the time can you do a lighter theme based on this one. I use this theme in Ultimate as my default and have for a few generations. http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Metal+Theme?content=85185

This is the best UE I`ve ever experienced. Fast, has all the programs I use and Ultimate Player works like a charm. I may not even bother with 3.0 after this!
