Currently I don't have time to update this page, obviously updating 6 websites & working 3 jobs;) so please bare with me if I do not take the proper time to explain what this is properly. I can not stress how important that it is to torrent this release. I have purchased new hosting that allows 15 Terabytes of transfer per month (currently seeing about 1/3 a TB a day by avg. We do have mirrors in route to try and take the load off, please, please torrent after you get it.
This release was built from scratch using Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon with all the goodies pre-added. There will be no 64 bit edition, sorry.
I would like to take the time to point out that for the first time in history of Ultimate Edition distributions the usplash is fully carried through after installation (the dragon). I have added a new sound scheme, welcome aboard HAL 2000 ;) I highly suggest you take the time to register on our forum there is a wealth of information to be obtained there. I suppose I should also point out I have made an online F.A.Q. more elaborate then can be found through the websites. Updating pages takes way too much of my time writing in html / css after all I am 1 MAHN.
For the first time I am offering it in both a Gnome version and a KDE version for those that don't like KDE. The KDE version has both Gnome & KDE. Just download it already, you won't be sorry. The Screenshots & Screencast speaks for it all ;) I suggest a viewing of the High Resolution cast if you have the bandwidth (15MB).
Please use torrent as a first choice this server sees on avg 1/3 of a Terabyte of traffic per day, peaking at 1 and 3/4 TB. If you would like to provide a mirror please contact me on Our Forum, additional mirrors coming soon. Links will not work until it is mirrored.
I would like to forewarn everyone it will show that an app has crashed on startup "kubuntu-docs" there is an error in this package. There is also an error with mysql-server, this is because I did not properly configure it, I wanted you to be able to set the password. Both are fixed when installed, these are not showstopers and everything works as it should. I just wanted everyone to be informed of what they are, and yes I am aware of them.
I am pleased to announce University of Maryland has taken us on and is publically availible from their optical connection thanks to Paul Schou, let me put them both on the map ;) Thanks to both the University & Paul. Paul, I hope your hard disk does not spin too much, thank god it's not Ultimate Edition 1.8. Welcome aboard...
