Night and day difference 3.0 v/s 3.01. Hopefully after the admin, mods and testers run it through the ringers we will have a release.

The last build of Ultimate Edition 3.0 was a conjunction and build by multiple people. No pun intended, but I am a perfectionist by nature and was not satisfied with the product at hand. I am running it now and is night and day from what Ultimate Edition 3.0 was. It has not been released to any beta tester but one. I’m hoping to change that this Friday. I have rebuilt the entire O/S from the ground up and have a few minor issues that I will be addressing prior to releasing to administrators, mods and beta testers. I have new hardware for testing and will be ordering more Friday. I am hoping to have a 100% successful release soon. I personally apologize for releasing what I feel was shoddy and incomplete work. I have also been spending time programming, so you may have a few new toys to play with upon release.

I do want to welcome aboard BlackWolf as our new "Main" forum total admin. One less job for me, thanks Blackwolf. I suppose we will call what I release Ultimate Edition 3.01, there will not be a 3.02, even though I have a 2.64 also unreleased.

Ultimate Edition 3.0 is unlike any previous release. Ultimate Edition 3.0 was built from Linux Mint 11 "Katya", which in itself was built from Ubuntu Natty 11.04. I hope I did not lose anyone there A slew of issues have been resolved. I have dubbed this release ULTAMINT. It is a real piece of eye-candy & has a comprehensive software package. I have included repositories from Getdeb, Ubuntu and Linuxmint. If there is something missing you just can’t live without, just a few clicks of a mouse away. On behalf of the UE Dev team please enjoy Ultimate Edition 3.0.

I feel my talent would to be best to spend it on automation of one in the same. While most will view this a huge error in my aspect. Rest of assured I shine when allowing me to do as devised comes w/o question. Contemplation is the topic, however stay tuned. Sorry to spew off at the head. I would not have said what I have if it does not come without cause. Let me be blunt, I have tried to not only inform others of issues, but to tell them how to fix them and greeted with cynicism. Hmm, why would I want to quit?

Downloaded and installed like a dream….0 issues…I LOVED being able to listen to some USA radio while installing…The Mrs was also impressed…after I told her that usually all the drivers and set up needs to be done before trying to find a station to listen to.

Top marks once again, TheeMahn…I can only wonder at what we have in store if you can dropkick Unity into space….

Just a heads up Ultimate Edition 3.0 Gamers is being tested. I used lite as the base of the build why? Mr. Breeg and I were chewing the fat on my intentions with Gamers Edition, he asked if I was going to strip apps from Ultimate Edition 3.0 to make room for games. A bell went off why strip apps when we have a lightweight O/S with the bare essentials. Makes tons of room for games & what is the purpose of gamers? I know I too am like a kid in a candy store, where is Ultimate Edition 3.0 already? Well same goes hand in hand, you will not have Repomaster in 3.0. I have had literally a ton of obstacles in my path on Ultimate Edition 3.0′s production. I have re-opened Donations, I do not want to openly explain why I shut them down in the first place for the past 4 or 5 months. I thank all those that have donated & would appreciate a continuation in this department. I have my work cut out for me. Non lite x86, x64 and gamers as such. I am hoping to have Repomaster integrated in Ultimate Edition 3.1, then you will understand what all the “HOOP LAH” was for. Well you deserve a peek right? JohnnyG’s work @ least wallpaper all is subject to change ignore my current theme. Cowboy has some nice graphical handywork also being considered, so all may change:
